Overview
Sporocarps short-stalked, scattered or in small clusters. Sporothecae globose, 0.8-1.1 mm diam., purple-bronze, iridescent. Stalk weak, black, often flattened, to 0.6 mm high. Columella cylindrical, reaching the centre of the sporotheca. Capillitium forming a network of flexuous threads, pale purplish-brown, stout at their bases, slender and pale at the tips. Spore-mass black. Spores dark purplish-brown, 11-16 µm diam., banded-reticulate, the bands 0.5-1.5 µm high, with 8-24 meshes to the hemisphere. Plasmodium dark brown.
