Overview
Plasmodiocarps very variable in colour, white, brown or black, glossy or dull, 0.2-1 mm in length. Peridium thin, membranous, the inner surface papillate, with external deposits of refuse matter. Dehiscence by a yellow longitudinal apical line. Spore-mass brown or yellowish-brown, occasionally snow-white. Spores thin-walled, pale yellow, globose to ovoid, minutely, densely, regularly verruculose, 9-12 µm diam.
