Physarum oblatum
Overview
Plasmodium bright yellow or yellowish green. Sporocarps stalked, rarely sessile or plasmodiocarpous. Sporotheca globose, depressed-globose or flabellate, (0.3-)0.4-0.6(-0.7) mm diam., orange-yellow, bright yellow, ochraceous or nearly white above, with a darker base. Peridium membranous above, roughened with lime, the base thicker and tending to persist as a cup. Stalk reddish brown or smoky, translucent, usually slender, furrowed, up to 75% of the total height. Columella absent. Capillitium physaroid or badhamoid, the lime nodes angular, branching and ± concolorous with the peridium. Spore-mass dark brown. Spores bright violaceous brown, spinulose, often bearing clusters of larger warts, 9-13 µm diam.
