Overview
Sporocarps stalked, gregarious. Sporothecae yellow, yellowish grey, grey or rarely white, irregular, gyrose-confluent, often forming a helvelloid cluster, umbilicate below. Peridium thin, ashy, fragile, covered with evanescent yellow or white squamules. Capillitium dense, delicate, often expanding, the nodes yellow or white, fusoid or irregular. Stalk yellow, translucent, usually long, slender, flexuous, often confluent. Hypothallus expanded, membranous. Spore-mass black. Spores violaceous brown, minutely spinulose, 9-11 µm diam. Plasmodium yellow or greenish yellow, often very extensive.
