Overview
Plasmodium white to pale yellow. Sporocarps stalked or occasionally almost sessile. Hypothallus membranous, inconspicuous. Stalk short, fuscous to black, only slightly expanded below. Sporotheca cylindric, obtuse, natal-brown or army-brown, fading to avellaneous, in small clusters, 3-7 mm tall. Columella sometimes not reaching the apex. Capillitium brown, the inner network moderately dense, often with expanded nodes. Surface net paler, the meshes polygonal. Spore-mass dark purplish brown. Spores pale, 7-9 µm diam.
