Discover Life is building a network to document species using photography and/or conventional collecting methods.
Our scientific goals are to understand how weather, pollution, land use, and other large-scale factors affect populations.
Our educational goals are to excite students with discovery and train them as scientists.
Discover Life will customize online identification guides for each study site,
database photographs and specimens, and maintain life lists of species for each participant.
Depending on the number and commitment of individuals at each location,
monitoring frequency will range from daily to weekly to monthly.
