Lake Lanier is still very low. As of today, October 4, 2008 it has been 21 days since Atlanta's official recording station has measured rainfall. I heard that on the Weather Channel today. For more information: www.srh.noaa.gov/ffc/html/lanier71508.shtml

forsythco.com/pdf/files/SawneePreserveTrails8x11_lighterh...">We finally visited Sawnee Mountain Preserve today. We were very impressed. The natural environment of the mountain is well preserved. The trail system is extremely nice. The downside is viewing all the out of control development for miles around. We hiked around three miles. There are additional trails planned for the future.
