The White-banded Crab Spider, Misumena vatia, has killed a European honey bee, Apis mellifera, on a goldenrod, Solidago, flower. The Freeloader flies, probably Desmometopa m-nigrum, in the family Milichiidae, have come in for a feed. Are they the world's smallest vultures?
