These extracts and leachate are applied on other plants as per Traditional Allelopathic Knowledge in order to enrich it with medicinal properties. It is used in numerous ways in treatment of Type II Diabetes. In Organic farming it is used with other herbs in management of pest. In commercial cultivation of medicinal crop Chlorophytum borivilianum its extract is applied to treat the crop under stress. Its different parts are in trade. Every year natives collect it from wasteland. Although it grows as weed in many upland crops but instead of use of chemicals to manage it farmers uproot it during manual weeding and utilize it for different purposes. In this way they not only recover the cost of hand weeding but also earn additional benefit.
