Sporocarps gregarious. Sporothecae iridescent purplish-brown, 0.5-0.8 mm diam. Stalk up to 1.5 mm high. Peridial cup present. Peridial net consisting of membranous, iridescent expansions between the 30 or more longitudinal ribs, which form a reticulum in the upper half of the sporotheca, nodes lacking, the ribs bearing dark calcic granules up to 2 µm diam. Spore-mass reddish-brown. Spores reddish-brown, 5.5-7 µm diam., often bearing calcic granules. Plasmodium purple-brown.
