Overview
Plasmodium white. Sporocarps gregarious or clustered. Hypothallus scanty, pale yellowish. Stalk, when present, thin, pale straw-yellow or pinkish, sulcate, ▒ twisted, usually short but up to 50% of the total height. Sporothecae globose or ovate, 0.5-0.7 mm diam., stipitate or sessile, rarely plasmodiocarpous, white or grey. Peridium thin, translucent, pure white, sparsely flecked with white lime. Capillitium delicate, the tubules of uniform diam. except at the centre where they may be massed to form a pseudocolumella. Spores free, globose or ▒ angular, dark brown, closely and irregularly warted, usually with clusters of darker warts, and with a coarse network of ridges with 1-6 meshes to the hemisphere, 12-15 Ám diam.
