  • cabeza deprimida, hocico largo; ojo chico
  • cuerpo: canela, barras tenues
  • barbillas: narina anterior solamente

Gobio sencillo

Cabeza claramente deprimida; hocico largo, inclinado hacia adelante; boca oblicua, larga, alcanza el borde posterior o supera el ojo; no hay barbillas bajo el mentón; una pequeña barbilla debajo de la narina frontal; ojos pequeños (aproximadamente 63% de la longitud del hocico); preopérculo con 2-3 poros; dorsal con VII espinas, 10-12 radios (usualmente 11), sin espinas alargadas; 10 radios anales; 19-20 radios pectorales; pélvicas fusionadas en un disco; la papila genital del macho es delgada; la papila genital de la hembra tiene la punta redondeada; cuerpo completamente escamado detrás del nivel del segundo radio, de la segunda dorsal; con una angosta extensión delantera que llega a la parte interna de la base de la pectoral; escamas grandes, ásperas; 6 grandes escamas ásperas sobre la base de la aleta caudal (pero no en las espinas largas); 27 escamas laterales.

Tamaño: 3.2 cm.

Hábitat: agua dulce y salobre?.

Profundidad: 0-5 m.
