Male near the host's nests. Lukovica pri Brezovici, Ljubljansko barje, May 1992.


Melecta luctuosa (Scopoli, 1770)



Eurosiberian species. In the pre-Alpine and sub-Pannonian regions of Slovenia.

Cleptoparasitic species. Hosts: species of the genus Anthophora , mainly Anthophora aestivalis . I can confirm Anthophora retusa as its host.

Univoltine. Flies from April to June.


Razširjenost vrste v Sloveniji.

Na robu Ljubljanskega barja, v Mariboru, Podčetrtku in Dobrovniku. Redka in ogrožena vrsta.
