	Size       Height 5-15 feet; spread 6-12 feet.

	Form       Upright, irregular large shrub to small tree.
               Foliage - alternate, to 1 inch long, leathery, 
               similar to I.  crenata.  Flower - inconspicuous,
               separate sexes.  Fruit - fall and winter; small 
               single berries. 

   Texture    Medium to fine.
	
   Color      Foliage - gray-green. Fruit - translucent red. 
               Bark whitish - gray.

   Culture    Sun or shade.  Soil - tolerant; medium drainage; 
                medium fertility. Moisture-medium.  Pruning - may 
                be shaped for special growth habits; picturesque with 
                multiple trunk; tolerates shearing.  Pest Problems - none.  
                Growth Rate - slow to moderate.

   Landscape  Highly versatile shrub or small tree which adapts to most adverse                                                        conditions.  Useful as borders, screen, specimen, or barrier for large                                      properties.  May be clipped to form low or high hedge or multitrunk small                                     tree.  Susceptible to salt burn.  Fruit attracts birds.
