Clustering fishtail palm, caryote doux

Stems clustered, 15 cm or less in diam. Leaves 2--3 m. 2n = 28, 32, 34.

Flowering summer. Moist organic soil over limestone in mesic hammocks and disturbed wooded areas; 0--10 m; introduced; Fla.; native from India to the Philippine Islands.
