Overview
Aphanoplasmodium colourless. Hypothallus discoid, red-brown. Sporocarps solitary, stalked, 0.1-1 mm total height. Sporotheca globose or ovate, 0.05-0.6 mm diam. Peridium usually forming a collar, the remainder evanescent. Stalk fibrous, dark red-brown, c. 50% of the total height. Columella attaining at least the centre of the sporotheca. Capillitium arising from the tip and sides of the columella, straight and radiating outwards, occasionally dichotomous, anastomosing rarely, the tips mostly bifurcate and pointed. Spore-mass mouse-grey. Spores pale mouse-grey, banded-reticulate, the bands 0.5 µm in height, with c. 20 meshes per hemisphere, (5.5-)6.5-9 µm diam. On dead leaves.
