Overview
Sporocarps sessile, usually gregarious, ± spherical to pulvinate, 0.1-0.5 mm diam., dark brown to black, with a reticulum of shining ridges. Peridium 2-3 layered, brown, shining on the inside, dark or dull on the outside due to the presence of inclusions, red-brown by TL, the edges of the plates with a row of tubercles, the border zone usually papillose. Spore-mass red-brown. Spores red-brown, thick-walled with a paler area, verruculose, 10-13 µm diam.
