Overview
Sporocarps sessile. Sporotheca spherical to pulvinate-angular (0.5-)1.0-1.5 mm diam., black to very dark brown, with a reticulum of ridges. Peridium of two closely-connected layers, the inner membranous and shining, the outer gelatinous and dull, olive to yellow-brown by TL. Dehiscence into smooth angular plates with usually a single row of large dark tubercles along the margin and inclusions in the central part. Spore-mass dark olive-brown. Spores olive-yellow, 15-16(-20) µm diam., densely verruculose or spinulose, the wall thick with a thinner area.
