This amazing ant species is found nesting in the intertidal zone in coral off the southern tip of the Philippine archipelago as well as in Papua New Guinea and the Solomons. Its nest may be immersed at high tide.

How to encounter |
Look for large ants on the intertidal zone as the seawater recedes during ebb tide. They might come out to forage.
