Overview
Plasmodium pale yellow at maturity. Hypothallus inconspicuous or absent. Sporocarpous or plasmodiocarpous, gregarious to scattered, sessile. Sporotheca (0.25-)0.3-0.4(-0.55) mm wide, up to 1.5 cm long, ochraceous yellow, reddish brown, chestnut-brown or black. Peridium double, the outer layer cartilaginous and with included matter, the inner pale yellow, membranous, either smooth or faintly roughened within. Dehiscence irregular. Capillitium forming a lax reticulum of pale yellow threads, 2-3 µm diam., with scattered delicate or stout and often curved spines up to 6 µm long or densely covered with spines less than 2 µm long, rarely almost smooth, sometimes with a few rounded free ends and intercalary or axillary swellings. Spore-mass bright yellow. Spores pale yellow, varying from faintly roughened to distinctly warted or minutely spinulose, globose or subglobose, (8-)9-11(-12) µm diam.
