Overview
Plasmodium yellow. Sporocarpous or subplasmodiocarpous, sessile on a broad or sometimes constricted base, densely aggregated, oval, reniform or elongate, 0.3-0.6 mm wide, often united as a pseudoaethalium. Peridium double, the outer layer thick, calcareous, yellow, ochraceous, or pallid, rarely pinkish buff at the sides, often paler above and marginate and depressed, the inner layer membranous, pallid, or yellowish. Capillitium dense, the nodes angular, white or yellowish. Columella none, but a pseudocolumella sometimes present. Spore-mass black. Spores deep violet-brown, distinctly and irregularly spinulose, or sometimes coarsely warted, (10-)11-13(-14) µm diam. On dead leaves and stems.
