Overview
Sporocarps sessile, white or pale ochraceous, subglobose, usually on a constricted base, clustered, usually densely, on a prominent white limy hypothallus, c. 1 mm diam., often polygonal from mutual pressure. Peridium double, the outer layer calcareous, thick, fragile, usually remote from the delicate, translucent, membranous inner layer. Capillitium abundant, the nodes large, white, angular, sometimes massed to form a central pseudocolumella. Spore-mass black. Spores purplish brown, densely spinulose (8-)10-12 µm diam. Plasmodium unknown.
