Physarum galbeum
Overview
Sporocarps stalked, globose to slightly obovate, golden-yellow, 0.6-1.2 mm high, 0.3-0.5 mm diam. Hypothallus small, discoid, orange. Stalk up to 0.8 mm tall, slender, tapered, orange below, yellow above, furrowed. Peridium thin, the lime in loosely-attached flakes. Capillitium a small-meshed net of yellow tubules with small, yellow, sparse, angular nodes. Spore-mass pale brown. Spores yellow-brown, 7.5-10 µm diam., verruculose and with small clusters of warts. Plasmodium yellow.
