Overview
Sporocarps scattered or in small clusters, subsessile on a constricted base or substipitate on a stipe-like projection that may represent a portion of the hypothallus, globose to pulvinate, bright golden yellow, shining, 0.6-1.2 mm diam. Hypothallus, if present, scarcely evident as minute yellow or brown patches beneath the sporocarps. Peridium membranous, thin, translucent, yellow, smooth and ± iridescent. Capillitium abundant, consisting of elaters with long-tapered ends, 5-6 µm at their widest and bearing 5-6 smooth, close, evenly-wound spiral bands. Spore-mass bright yellow. Spores yellow, adherent in variously shaped clusters of mostly 4-12, occasionally single or paired, irregularly subglobose to ovoid or ellipsoid, occasionally broadly subturbinate, 11-13 or 9-10 x 12-14 µm diam., unevenly marked on the exposed area with broad-based spinules ca. 1 µm long, smoother on the areas of mutual contact. Plasmodium unknown.
