Overview
Sporocarps stalked, rarely sessile. Sporothecae pyriform or obovoid, often clustered on united stalks, bright ochraceous, up to 0.8 mm wide and 4 mm tall. Peridium membranous, translucent, papillose within, often somewhat thickened by granular deposits. Hypothallus membranous. Stalk reddish brown, weak, often flattened or procumbent. Capillitium of long, cylindric elaters, bearing 3-5 spirals, these smooth or bearing a few scattered spines, with short, tapered tips. Spores and capillitium mass bright ochraceous yellow. Spores bright yellow, coarsely and prominently reticulate, the bands narrow, minutely pitted and c. 1 µm high, 10-14 µm diam., 12-16 µm including the ridges. Plasmodium white.
