 Symptoms
 Morphology
 Epidemiology   1999-10-29
Predominantly a virulent wound pathogen associated with blights, dieback, root and collar rots, damping-off, and with preharvest and storage rots of fruit, yam, taro, etc., either alone or in combination with other fungi or bacteria. On cacao it plays a secondary role invading pods which are already colonised by the black pod fungus (Phytophthora palmivora). In stored taro it plays a similar role, being isolated in decayed corm tissue behind advancing rots caused by P. colocasiae and Pythium splendens
 Dispersal   1999-10-29
Airborne, waterborne, seedborne, soilborne debris
 Management   1999-10-29
Crop hygiene, fungicides
